These Terms and Conditions govern the purchase of original artworks from Maeve Vamy, a professional artist based in Bulgaria, European Union. By purchasing artwork through this website, you agree to be bound by these terms.

About the Artist and Business

Maeve Vamy operates as an independent artist based in Bulgaria, EU. All artworks are original creations by the artist, primarily executed in oil on canvas, featuring both realistic and abstract styles.

Artwork Information and Pricing

All artworks displayed on this website are original, one-of-a-kind pieces created by the artist. Each listing includes:

  • Title, dimensions, and medium

  • Year of creation

  • Detailed photographs

  • Price in EUR (prices do not include VAT; applicable VAT, duties and taxes are determined by the customer's location and are the buyer's responsibility)

  • Authenticity guarantee

Prices are subject to change without notice until payment is confirmed.

Ordering and Payment

EU Customers: You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason, in accordance with EU Consumer Protection Directive.

Payment Methods: We accept credit and debit card payments via Stripe. Payment must be completed before artwork shipment.

Order Confirmation: You will receive email confirmation of your order and payment. This constitutes acceptance of your purchase.

Right of withdrawal

Under EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, you have the right to withdraw from this purchase within 14 days of receiving the piece, without giving any reason. How to exercise the right: Send an unequivocal statement of your decision to withdraw — by email to maeve@vamy.art with your order number, or by post to the address on file — before the 14-day period expires. You may use the model withdrawal form below, though it is not obligatory. Effects of withdrawal: We will reimburse all payments received from you, including the standard delivery cost, no later than 14 days after we receive the returned piece (or evidence that you have sent it back). Reimbursement will use the same means of payment you used, unless we agree otherwise. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the piece back. You must send the piece back without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day you communicate your withdrawal. Return shipping costs are your responsibility unless the piece arrived damaged. You are only liable for any diminished value of the piece resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning. Shipping and Delivery

Delivery Timeline: - Originals: shipped within 30 days of payment confirmation. - Prints: shipped within 7 working days of payment confirmation (14 days at peak periods).

EU Shipping: No additional customs documentation required for shipments within the European Union.

International Shipping: For shipments outside the EU:

  • Export invoices and customs documentation will be provided

  • Buyers are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs fees

  • Artworks are classified under harmonized tariff code 9701100000

Packaging: All artworks are professionally packaged with appropriate protective materials and insurance.

Returns and Exchanges

EU Consumer Rights: EU customers may return artwork within 14 days of delivery for any reason. Return shipping costs are buyer's responsibility unless the artwork was damaged or misrepresented.

International Returns: Returns accepted within 7 days of delivery for damaged or misrepresented items only.

Condition: Returned artworks must be in original condition and packaging.

Cultural Heritage and Export Compliance

As an EU-based artist, we comply with Regulation 2019/880 regarding cultural goods. Contemporary artworks by living artists generally do not require special export permits, but we maintain proper documentation for all international shipments.

Intellectual Property

The artist retains all copyright and intellectual property rights to the artwork design. Purchase includes ownership of the physical artwork only, not reproduction rights unless specifically agreed in writing.

Authenticity Guarantee

All artworks come with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist. This guarantees the work is original and created by Maeve Vamy.

Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the artwork. We are not responsible for:

  • Damage during shipping (covered by insurance)

  • Import restrictions in destination countries

  • Changes in artwork appearance due to lighting or aging

Privacy and Data Protection

We comply with GDPR regulations for all customer data. Personal information is used only for order processing and communication. We do not share customer data with third parties except as required for shipping and payment processing.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or inability to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, or shipping disruptions.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by Bulgarian law and EU regulations. Any disputes will be resolved in Bulgarian courts, except EU consumers may pursue claims in their country of residence.
